Course description

Are you considering a career in agriculture/horticulture? Are you interested in conservation and the environment?This programme is designed to enable you to acquire the basic skills with the necessary technical knowledge to gain employment within the industry.The programme content includes:- Arable crop production- Livestock production- Business management- Estate skills- Landbased machinery- Work experience

Entry requirements

You will need 4 or more GCSEs at grade 3 or higher, with at least one grade 4 in either English, maths or science, bor/b a relevant level 1 qualification.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Assessment

This course is continually assessed by a combination of written tests, project and assignment work and demonstration of competence in a range of practical skills.

Financial information

If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
