Dog Grooming - Level 2 (Certificate) at College of West Anglia

Course description

This course is designed to provide you with a sound knowledge and skills of all aspects of dog grooming. You will learn various breeds, including scissoring, handstripping and clipping techniques. This course will also include first aid and customer care. The programme content includes: - Prepare and groom dogs prior to bathing - Bath and clean dogs - Dry dogs ready for styling - Maintain equipment used for grooming - Control and restrain animals - 5 days in house work experience

Entry requirements

You will need 4 or more GCSEs at grade 3 or higher or a relevant level 1 qualification.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Assessment

Assessment is continuous throughout the programme. Each unit is assessed by a variety of methods including assignments, practicals, tests and a portfolio of evidence.

Financial information

If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
