Stepping Out - Landbased - Entry Level at College of West Anglia

Course description

These foundation learning tier courses provide the progression pathways for learners who have yet to achieve the required grades to study fully and independently in their chosen vocational area. In addition the skills developed will help to enable young people to enter adult life as confident and capable individuals. Course content will include - Vocational study day (within chosen area) - Functional skills - BTEC Vocational Studies certificate/diploma - BTEC Personal and Social Development certificate - Personal study skills - Enrichment activities

Entry requirements

A willingness to succeed and improve grades. Students entering this programme will ideally need to have achieved at entry 2 or successful achievement on the existing stepping in programme.

Assessment

The course is assessed through a range of methods that include project work, assignments and the compilation of a portfolio. All work is internally verified and subject to external verification by the relevant awarding bodies.

Financial information

If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
