Engineering Skills - Level 1 (Diploma) at College of West Anglia

Course description

If you are wishing to pursue a career within the field of production/mechanical engineering/welding, this course is for you.The course carries a number of mandatory and specialist units, giving you the opportunity to gain skills in the mechanical, welding and electrical workshops as well as generic skills of health and safety, communications applying for jobs, preparation for interviews and actual interview skills.

Entry requirements

You will need 3 or more GCSEs at grade 2 or higher, or entry level qualifications.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Assessment

There is a continual assessment through a combination of practical, theory and portfolio work.

Financial information

If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
