Stepping Out (Sport and Uniformed Services) - Entry Level at College of West Anglia
These foundation learning tier courses provide the progression pathways for young people who have yet to achieve the required grades to study fully and as independent learners in their chosen vocational area. Pathways include childcare, retail, uniformed services and hospitality. In addition the skills developed will help to enable young people to enter adult life as confident and capable individuals. Course content will include - Vocational study day (within chosen area) - Functional skills - BTEC/EdExcel Vocational Studies - Certificate/Diploma - BTEC/EdExcel Personal and Social Development Certificate - Personal study skills - enrichment activities
A willingness to succeed and improve grades. Students entering this programme will need to have achieved at entry 2 or successful achievement on the stepping on programme.
The course is assessed through a range of methods that include project work, assignments and the compilation of a portfolio. All work is internally verified and subject to external verification by the relevant awarding bodies.
If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
