Security Practitioner Preparation - Level 2 at College of West Anglia
Our security practitioner preparation course is designed to provide you with a learning programme that supports you to gain recognised security industry qualifications. You will complete complete the City and Guilds Level 2 Security qualification in combination with a range of focused technical awards that are recognised by the Security Industry Association. This includes the Door Supervisors award and Understanding the Safety of Spectators. You will also seek to complete a programme of Personal and Social Development and work experience. There is also an opportunity to participate in a foreign exchange visit if you meet the requirements and stipulations. Many of our former students have gone onto become door supervisors and close protection officers.
You will need 4 or more GCSEs at grade 3 or higher, including English and maths, or a relevant level 1 qualification.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.
The course involves a combination of theory and practical work, e.g. leadership, teamwork skills and drills.
If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
