Course description

This course is designed to help you embark on a career in the beauty profession. All relevant aspects of beauty therapy are covered over the year and this leads to the diploma qualification.Subjects covered include:- Health and safety - Promoting products and services - Salon reception duties - Client care and communication - Eyelash and brow treatments - Facial skin care - Waxing techniques - Manicure and pedicure treatments - Make-up

Entry requirements

You will need 4 or more GCSEs at grade 3 or higher, preferably including and science, or a relevant level 1 qualification.If you are aged 19 or older, relevant experience may be accepted.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Assessment

There are four types of assessment, demonstration of practical competence, short assignments, oral questioning and written tests. A portfolio of work is built up during the time spent at college.

Financial information

If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
