Course description

If you wish to pursue a career in building, services systems, design, civil engineering, surveying or construction management, this course is for you.The units covered over the two years of the course include:- Construction Principles- Construction Design- Tendering and Estimating- Health and Safety in Construction- Construction Technology- Project in Construction- Surveying in Construction- Graphical Detailing in Construction- Building Regulations and Control- Further Maths in Construction- Principles & Application of Management- Mechanical & Electrical Services- Contractual & Commercial Procedures- Site Engineering for Construction- Building Services Science

Entry requirements

You will need 5 or more GCSEs at grade 4 or higher, including English and maths, or a relevant level 2 qualification.If you are aged 19 or older, relevant industry experience may be accepted.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Assessment

Units are assessed through internal assignments but the double units are assessed by Tasks set by the awarding body. There are no Exams.

Financial information

If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
