Hairdressing - Stage 2 - Level 2 (Diploma) at College of West Anglia

Course description

This course provides the second stage of hairdressing, following on from Hairdressing - Stage 1, enabling you to progress and further your skills. Course content may include: - Advice and consult with clients - Shampoo and condition hair and scalp - Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work - Health and Safety - Style, dress and finish hair - Cut hair using basic techniques - Change hair colour using basic techniques - Give clients a positive impression of yourself - Plaiting and twisting

Entry requirements

You will need to have studied Hairdressing - Stage 1 - Level 2, with good attendance and progress reviews.If you are aged 19 or older, relevant industry experience may be accepted.You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Assessment

Assessments are carried out using four methods, observation of practical competence, short assignments, oral questioning and written mandatory tests/online tests. A portfolio of work is built up during the course and used as part of the assessment process.

If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
