A-level Law at College of West Anglia

Course description

A-level Law will help you gain an initial understanding of the English Legal System plus a detailed study of certain areas of criminal and civil law.You will be introduced to subjects including an introduction to criminal liability and liability for accidents, criminal law - homicide and assault, offences against property, whilst studying the actual law and how to apply it to factual situations.

Entry requirements

You will need 6 or more GCSEs at grade 4 and above, including English language and maths, and grade 6 and above in your chosen subjects (where possible).

Assessment

Traditional teaching where students will be encouraged to listen, read and access information, developing a critical awareness of legal issues and the ability to analyse and solve legal problems. 2 modules assessed by examinations taken in Year 1 plus 2 modules assessed by examinations in the following year.
