Information Technology (IT Application Specialists) - Apprenticeship (Intermediate) - Level 2 at College of West Anglia
This course is suitable for any learner working with information technology on a daily basis in their job role. You can choose from a wide range of vocational units at levels 1, 2 and 3 to create your own diploma qualification. There is one mandatory unit (making selective use of IT) and the remaining units range from troubleshooting, bespoke software and word processing to intranets and the Internet. You will also study functional skills in English, ICT and maths.
You will be interviewed and assessed for your potential, commitment and motivation to achieve the apprenticeship, based upon the range and level of activities you will be undertaking in the workplace. You may also need to undergo an initial assessment of your English and maths skills in which you are required to be working at/towards level 1 maths and level 1 English, or higher. At the start of your apprenticeship you will need to be employed by a suitable and appropriate employer for at least 30 hours a week. You will also need to have been a resident in the EU for at least 3 years, not have a level 4 or higher qualification and not be on any other government funded training programme.
This course is assessed through workplace assignments, observations and portfolio.
