Team Leading - Apprenticeship (Intermediate) - Level 2 at College of West Anglia
The course is aimed at those aged 16+ who wish to pursue a career in management or team leading.Team leaders play an integral role in supporting organisational objectives through a wide range of functions, including: monitoring work, giving feedback, briefing teams, supporting team members, resolving problems, procuring supplies, project management and delivering and improving customer serviceThe programme concentrates on key areas of skills and knowledge including leadership, working relationships, allocating and monitoring work, health and safety and personal development.
An interview is required. You will be assessed for your potential to achieve the apprenticeship. The assessment will depend upon the range and level of activities you will be undertaking in the workplace. You may need to undergo an initial assessment of your English and maths skills in which you are required to be working at/towards, at least, level 1 maths and level 1 English. At the start of your apprenticeship programme you will need to be employed by a suitable and appropriate employer for at least 30 hours a week. You will also need to have been a resident in the EU for at least 3 years. Commitment and motivation are necessary to complete the course.
Assessments and portfolio building will be carried out in the workplace. Candidates may have the option of doing an online portfolio. Functional Skills tests will be carried out at college.
If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, there may be additional resources fees and fees for materials, kits and trips. Please visit our website for full details.
