Accounting Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College

Course description

This Apprenticeship will enable you to develop the skills needed to work as a professional Accountant who understands the needs of an organisation, its customers and the sector in which they operate.

Course content

AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting (AQ2016), which includes units in the following areas:-Advanced Bookkeeping-Final Accounts Preparation-Management Accounting-Costing-Indirect tax-Ethics for Accountants-Spreadsheets for Accounting You will also study Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English if not already achieved. The course includes training on Employment Rights and Responsibilities, as well as Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.

Entry requirements

To progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship you will need to hold one of the following*:

-          an Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship

-          an alternative Level 2 qualification in a related subject area

-          practical work experience in the related industry

-          Up to five GCSEs grade A*-C – including English and Maths

In order to start an Apprenticeship, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

Assessment

Computer-based assessment centrally set and assessed by AAT, combined with work-based assessment visits.

Progression through to the Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting.
