IT, Software and Telecoms Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College

Course description

Computing is an integral part of everyday life. With technology developing at a faster rate than ever before, this is an ever evolving industry with a huge range of career options. This Apprenticeship includes a balance of content in technical, business and interpersonal areas.

Course content

As part of this Apprenticeship, you'll cover the Level 3 OCR Diploma in ICT Professional Competence; example units include: -Customer support provision for the ICT professional-Customer care in ICT-Interpersonal and written communication-Computer games developmentFunctional Skills are mandatory and include English, Maths and ICT at Level 2, an induction covering workplace Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills will also be covered.

Entry requirements

To progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship you will need to hold one of the following*:

-          an Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship

-          an alternative Level 2 qualification in a related subject area

-          practical work experience in the related industry

-          Up to five GCSEs grade A*-C – including English and Maths

In order to start an Apprenticeship, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.
