Travel & Tourism Level 3 Diploma at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College
This course is designed to provide a broad education in Travel and Tourism as a basis for both training leading to employment and Higher Education. Students will develop the general skills, knowledge and understanding needed for a range of travel and tourism occupations or professions. This course is equivalent to one and a half A-Levels.
You will study four core units on this course: Investigating Travel and Tourism; Business of Travel and Tourism; The UK as a Destination; Customer Service; plus Preparing for Employment; European Destinations; Marketing; Responsible Tourism; Passenger Transport; plus English and Maths Functional Skills or GCSE as appropriate.
You will need to be aged 16+ with a minimum of four GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths and English. Applicants should be committed and enthusiastic and will be interviewed and assessed for suitability to the course.
Written work is assessed on an ongoing basis. There are no external exams.
No specialist equipment is required for this course.

After completing this course you can study the HND Travel and Tourism Management at the College, or the City and Guilds Diploma in Aviation. Career opportunities can be found at travel agencies, tour operators, tourist information centres, airports, airlines and visitor attractions.
