Fashion Level 3 90 Credit Diploma at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College
If you are considering a career in the exciting world of fashion, this programme will provide you with an intensive and realistic introduction. The programme includes projects set by industry and trips to London. The programme is offered as a Subsidiary Diploma in the first year and subject to satisfactory completion of the first year, students will progress to completing the Extended Diploma in thesecond year.
In this highly structured programme you will be introduced to the techniques of: Design, illustration and presentation; pattern cutting; garment technology; contextual studies and computer aided design.You will also study a functional skill.
Students must be 16+. UK students should have obtained four GCSE passes at Grade C or above. Students of 21 or over should be able to demonstrate that they are sufficiently well motivated to cope with the demands of the programme and possess the appropriate ability.
Progress on this programme is monitored by continuous assessment procedures. Students obtain regular feedback at assessment points during the programme.
Specialist fashion equipment packs are ordered through the College and cost approximately £150.
We offer a bursary that students can apply for help with costs that are associated with a course. This could be help with the cost of travel, books, materials, equipment, uniforms, childcare and examination and registration fees. The programme provides a nationally recognised qualification for those who wish to move on to Higher Education at Degree or HND level. Students may progress onto the HND in Design for Fashion and Textiles at the College. It also provides goodopportunities for those wishing to enter the fashion industry or setup their own business.
One (Subsidiary) or two years (Extended) full-time. A three day week, intensive program with supplimentary workshops where required.
