Course description

The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Creative Digital Media Production course is a new and exciting introduction to subjects which are readily used in todays world of media.

Course content

You will study a combination of: Graphic Design; Digital Photography; Moving Image Production (film and editing); Audio Design; Computer Games Design and written work on Media Products/Audiences. 6% of the course will be covered by a written exam held towards the end of the program while the rest is through practical coursework and essays. The course will expose you to video editing, digital photography skills, digital image manipulation, sound production, filming processes, research skills and

Entry requirements

You will require two GCSEs at grade C or above, a Level 1 Diploma or A Level Certificates. It is an advantage to have an interest in one or more of the disciplines of media production: digital photography, graphic design, film & TV, e-media or games development. You will be required to have an interview.


You will be assessed in each individual module over the period of the programme. The written exam will be assessed at the end of the course.

Financial information

You will need stationery (pads, pens, pencils etc.), a USB memory stick and a diary. An external hard drive (formatted to Mac) is an advantage but not essential.

We offer a bursary that students can apply for help with costs that are associated with a course. This could be help with the cost of travel, books, materials, equipment, uniforms, childcare and examination and registration fees. Future opportunities

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will have an opportunity to apply for our Level 3 Diploma specialist programmes or other further training schemes.
