Games - BTEC in Games Art level 3 at Kirklees College, Huddersfield Centre

Course description

Develop infinite worlds, sculpt complex characters and advance your games art and design skills.

Learn and develop your skills within game design theory, 2D/ 3D concept art and asset production, environment design, 3D modelling, texturing, character animation and storyboarding.

Course content

This course focuses predominantly on Games Art skills and techniques, helps you explore the visual side of the industry and develop specialist skills and knowledge to enter the games, digital and creative entertainment industries.

You will complete a series of individual and team-led projects/ assignments and activities, as well as develop a strong portfolio for HE study, employment or Apprenticeship study.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs with the following grades: English 4 and maths at 3 or above, and 3 other GCSEs grade 4 or above.

Future opportunities
