Course description

Develop infinite worlds, program complex environments, characters and advance your games design and development skills.

This course is designed for future software developers and computer scientists who wish to learn about the development of computer games from a technical (rather than artistic) perspective.

Course content

If you love playing computer games and have always wondered how games were designed and developed, this is the course for you.

You will learn and develop a number of skills that will help you to code and create games for a variety of platforms. From programming, scripting, games engine design, you will also explore games mechanics, level design and environment design. You will complete a series of individual and team-led projects/ assignments and activities, as well develop a strong portfolio for HE study, employment or Apprenticeship study.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs with the following grades: English 4 and maths at 3 or above, and 3 other GCSEs grade 4 or above.
