Component 1 Title: Personal Investigation. Component 2 Title: Externally Set Assignment.

Entry requirements

Entry to St Ivo Sixth Form is dependent on attitude to learning and behaviour as well as examination performance. This is set out in a separate document called “Sixth Form Entry Requirements” which is available on the school website. Some subjects will also have subject specific requirements.


The A level course consists of two components, both teacher assessed and externally moderated

Financial information

Students will need to purchase a range of art equipment/materials for use at home and sketch pads for each component. There are also gallery visits and printing workshops which will cost approximately £80 per year. Please enquire if this would affect your choice to study A level Art. There may be an opportunity to go on a residential trip to Venice or Rome, which will cost approximately £600.
