Course description

You will be employed in industry, earning a
wage whilst gaining the skills and qualifications
employers need and value.
 
You must have an employer who will support
you through your Apprenticeship and give you
time off work to attend college. Many people
find their own job or are already employed
but if not, college staff can help you find
employment

Course content

The qualification forms the competence
element of the skills for logistics warehousing
and storage Apprenticeship framework. It was
developed for the industry in association with
Skills for Logistics, Sector Skills Council.
 
The Apprenticeship will include logistics
operations and skills including stock control,
health safety and security, order picking,
packing and assembly, customer service skills
and returns processing.

Entry requirements

• You must be employed by a company
to start the course. (If you have not got an
employer the college will help you to find a
company but cannot guarantee
employment).
• An initial assessment which indicates that
you are working at Entry Level 3 Functional
Skills (or above) and the ability to achieve
English and maths level 1 within a year.
• A satisfactory interview and
• You should demonstrate an interest or
knowledge of working in the vocational area
and wish to take up a career in the relevant
industry.

Assessment

At college and in the workplace. You may need
to take exams.
