Level 2 Diploma: Teaching Exercise and Fitness at Loughborough College

Course description

This course is designed for anyone who wants to kick-start their career as a fitness instructor or personal trainer but who has no previous exercise qualifications. You must regularly participate in some form of exercise yourself and have a keen interest in health, exercise, and fitness.

In addition, you will need to be highly self-motivated as the course can be very demanding both academically and physically.

Course content

Units include:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Instructing Exercise and Fitness
  • CYQ Level 2 Gym Instructor
  • CYQ Circuit Training
  • CYQ Exercise to Music
  • CYQ Group Indoor Cycling
  • Nutrition and Weight Management
  • Emergency First Aid

Entry requirements

  • Four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English or Maths.
