Underwater Media A level at Burntwood School

Course description

This course is a wonderful opportunity for any student wishing to be challenged in a new way. You will qualify as a NAUI Open Water Diver. You will be taught how to use underwater still and video cameras, skills you will practice in the school pool and on location in open water. We will give you the opportunity to experience the dive of your life on a trip to the Red Sea in Egypt.

Entry requirements

Be able to swim 250m non-stop and tread water/float for 10 mins. Be open to new experiences, ready to face challenges, be eager to learn and have fun.

Future opportunities

Opportunities are endless! You can advance through NAUI as a Scuba Diver, become an instructor and teach here or abroad, continue with photography or film making taking a course in either at Higher Education or just use your new skills to experience a different type of holiday and show friends and family what can be seen under the sea.
