Web and Digital Design Extended Diploma Level 3 at Canterbury College Not

Course description

This course is for students interested in Web and Digital Design. Over the course of the programme, you will have opportunity to develop projects in web and social media, visual, audio and interactive skills for digital media. The study programme blends digital creative skills, theory and design concepts with solid technical skills and an in-depth background in digital technology and communication.

Course content

By the end of the course you will have knowledge, skills and understanding of how plan, develop and design web pages, apps for mobile devices, interactive products (digital comics, promotional material, interactive adverts and augmented reality).

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at C grade or above. Interview, task completion for interview,summer school/autumn school.


You will be continually assessed by practical and written assignments, group projects and production work. All units you study are graded, a final major project will determine your final grade for the qualification. In addition, you will study and take an exam in at least one functional skill/GCSE (in English and mathematics).

Future opportunities

You will be able to progress onto related higher education courses or employment in the expanding digital sector including, but not limited to, graphic, multimedia and digital design, digital publishing, marketing, mobile development, web and interactive design.
