Travel and Tourism BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate at Ashfield School

Course description

Travel and tourism is about much more than holidays. You will have an interesting insight into one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing market sectors by investigating the industry as a whole, before moving onto more specialised areas covering customer service, business operations, UK, short-haul and long-haul destinations. As this is a vocational course, there may be opportunities for educational trips to visitor attractions such as Alton Towers and guest speakers from the various component industries to help you improve the quality of your coursework. This course shares links with Level 3 Business Studies and the two are complementary subjects.

At the end of year one, you should have completed the two-unit BTEC National Certificate which is the equivalent of an AS Level before commencing a further two units towards the Extended Certificate in year two.
