Course description

The course is split into 6 teaching modules.

Module 1: Development of Practical Skills in Biology

Module 2: Foundations of Biology

Module 3: Exchange and Transport

Module 4: Biodiversity and Disease

Module 5: Homeostasis and Energy

Module 6: Genetics and Ecosystem

 

Entry requirements

The entry requirement for A Levels is an average level 5 in 5 GCSE subjects including English and Maths. At least BB in Double Science GCSE examinations or B in Biology Triple Science to seriously consider attempting further studies in Biology.

 

 

 

Future opportunities

As with all sciences, there are many career paths open to any student who follows the Biology course of study. Medicine, Veterinary Surgery or nursing, scientific research, environmental sciences, Zoology, Botany and Genetics are just a few of the many areas that are open to students who gain an A Level in Biology.
