Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools - Level 2 Apprenticeship at Bury College Apprenticeships

Course description

This apprenticeship will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning within a school setting for 5-19 year olds. The knowledge and skills you will develop include many elements that a Teaching Assistant must know and understand. These include: Children and young people’s development, Safeguarding and welfare, Communication and professional relationships, Equality, diversity and inclusion, Improving own and team practice, Maintain and support relationships with children and young people, Supporting health and safety, Supporting positive behaviour, Supporting learning activities. This course will involve 20% of your time to be dedicated to off the job training.

Entry requirements

Initial assessment and diagnostic testing on maths and English will take place prior to commencement of apprenticeship.
