Outdoor Leadership Level 2 at Peterborough Regional College

Course description

This course is for somebody who enjoys the outdoors and would want to work in the outdoor activities sector.

Course content

You will study subjects such as: • Organising activity sessions • Responding to emergencies at an outdoor centre • Gaining instructor quals • Stewarding at events • Assessed on expedition leads

Entry requirements

4 GCSE's at Grade D/3 including English Language and Maths.

Assessment

Coursework and practical observations.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course and the achievement of GCSE English Language and maths at grade C/4 you can progress on to the Level 3 Public Services course or Level 3 in Sports Studies.

Alternatively you could also go into employment within the industry as a sailing instructor, climbing wall instructor or expedition leader or work in outdoor education centres, leisure centres and security.
