Horticulture Level 2 BTEC Diploma at Wigan & Leigh College
Horticulture is a fast growing industry the course is aimed at individuals who wish to develop their knowledge and skills of garden maintenance, garden design, plant propogation and maintenance.
Aimed to offer hands on experience plus the knowledge and skills involved in horticulture, the learner will study a variety of horticulture skills, including maintaining plants, designing and setting plants and flowers from a plan, propagating, cultivating fruit and vegetables. Plant identification and retailing in the Land-based Sector. All students will participate in work experience as part of their programme of study.
A minimum of 5 A*-D/ 9-3 GCSE subjects or equivalent including maths or English
Continuous practical and written assessment.

This course requires keen enthusiasm and dedicated study. All students will be required to wear steel toe cap boots and purchase a kit.
