A Level programme

Course content

'Fine Art is traditionally known for painting and drawing. This is a course that gives you the opportunity to discover ways of working in these areas but also includes printmaking, 3D and 2D methods, digital media, mixed media and installation art. From suggested staring points and workshop delivery you will be encouraged to develop as a high level thinker and creative interpreter. Underpinning your work will be the development of vital drawing skills and the appreciation of a broad range of other artists work.

Entry requirements

'5 GCSE’s grade C or above (including English and Maths)A previous art and design GCSE at grade C or above or similar and/or a passion and interest in the subjectSuccessful interview with an art tutor (bring a portfolio of your art and design work)Good verbal and written communicationGood drawing skills are a bonus

Future opportunities

'After completing A Level Fine Art students go on to higher education within art and design or a wide range of other subjects. Following on from this student’s enter a range of employment opportunities such as multiple design fields, photography, artist, printmaker, set designer, to name just a few.
