'This qualification will allow you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment in the travel and tourism sector.Throughout the year you will study a variety of units covering a wide variety of topics which may include:Interpersonal Skills for the Travel and Tourism WorkplacePrinciples of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and TourismRetail Travel ServicesUK Travel and Tourism DestinationsPromotional Activities in Travel and TourismWorldwide Travel and Tourism DestinationsResort RepresentativesTravel and Tourism Support ServicesDuring each unit you will develop knowledge about the travel and tourism sector, and also carry out practical activities and role plays to give you the specialist skills needed in the industry.All the teaching staff on the course have worked in the travel industry and will bring this experience into the classroom. Also you will gain valuable work experience through trips and visits to industry to assist in make you employment ready. This practical, hands on course is designed to encourage you to develop the personal skills and qualities you need for work, learning and to help you achieve your full potential. You will learn through a variety of methods from practical, group work, worksheets and other class based activities with support, all aiding the learning experience & knowledge of travel. The course allows the improvement of interpersonal skills such as communication and teamwork.

Future opportunities

'On successful completion of the course you will have the option of furthering your studies and completing either, Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism, Level 2 Diploma in Air Cabin Crew or Employment
