Certificate for Learning, Employability & Progression Level 1 at West Kent College

Course description

The College offers a route that opens pathways for progression for students who are uncertain about their career options or those who have a negative view of school education.

The pathways focus on providing an individualised learning programme (ILP) for students, identifying those who need additional support and guidance or those who need to develop their interpersonal and social skills as well as their literacy, numeracy and work skills.

The College aims to provide a supportive and engaging environment, with suitably skilled staff, to overcome barriers to progression into education, training or employment. For those with a particular interest in the area, students can take part in an Arts and Media option one day a week. All students will work towards qualifications in functional English and Maths as well as employability skills. Students will have the opportunity to gain work experience, where appropriate.

There may be the possibility to join the course during the academic year, according to individual circumstances.
