Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery at Henley College Coventry

Course description

You will be able to learn on the job and get paid while studying for your qualification. Apprentices have employed status; however, if you do not have a job then we will help you to find one.

You will be studying:

  • Maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
  • Contributing  to effective teamwork
  • Maintaining food safety when storing, preparing and cooking food
  • Maintaining, and handling clean knives

Assessments take place in the work place and through a portfolio of evidence of knowledge & competence in performing a range of tasks built up over a period of time

You can progress on to a Level 3 Professional Cookery Apprenticeship

Entry requirements

Minimum GCSE Grade D in Maths & English or Level 1 Functional Skills in Literacy & Numeracy, plus a positive school reference and a successful interview
