LLevel 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering at Henley College Coventry

Course description

The Engineering Manufacture Apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and competence requirements to operate at craft or technician level.

Training and assessment will take place at college during your first year (this may involve full time or part time college attendance) followed in the second subsequent year by college based day release. You will also undertake work based training, as appropriate, throughout the length of your Apprenticeship programme.

As an Apprentice you are required to achieve the following competence and knowledge based qualifications to ensure that you build a rounded set of skills.

  • Level 3 Diploma in a relevant engineering pathway
  • Level 3 Technical Diploma
  • Functional Skills- English, Maths and ICT at Level 2
  • Employee Responsibilities and Rights (ERR) level 2
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) Level 2

There is continuous competence assessment in the work place for this qualification. The assignment work is graded at pass, merit, distinction for the Technical Certificate.

You can progress to the higher Apprenticeship at level 4

Entry requirements

5 GCSE’s grade A to C to include Maths, English and Science or completion of the PEO level 2 in Engineering, a BTEC level 2 Extended Certificate. Functional skills at level 1 or completion of the intermediate apprenticeship in Engineering manufacturing
