Entry requirements

To be able to study physics at AS and A-level students must first have obtained at least two grade 6s in combined or separate science GCSE. A grade 6 in maths GCSE and a grade 5 in English Language are also required. We also highly recommend that students study A level maths in support of this subject.

Future opportunities

Careers and possibilities for progression in physics are far too numerous to list here but include work within the engineering, environmental science, medicine, computer science, industry and research.

Equipment required –

The Science department has paid for A-level physics students to have access to the Kerboodle website. This website includes a copy of the textbook online, which students will be able to access. Students may also purchase their own text book if they wish (cost approx..£15).
