This qualification is designed to support progression to higher education when taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels.

Learners must achieve:
• Nine ‘Core Mandatory’ units graded A*-D,
• One Extended Assessment covering the ‘Core Mandatory’ units externally set and externally marked
• Placement in a Real Work Environment: up to 200 hours. (min 75 hours)

Further and higher education including university entry to study a variety of subjects.
Could lead to a variety of careers including Nursing, social work, teaching, or police service.
An A* awarded is worth 84 UCAS tariff points.
