Level 2 in Business at MidKent College

Course description

The level 2 Certificate in Business will provide you with a sound knowledge of business concepts and how to apply them to the working environment.It will also enable you to work independently or in a group context and develop research and evaluative skills.Alongside the Business qualification you will also study a IFS Certificate in Personal Finance, this will encorpoarte 3 units that include personal finance and money management.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or above including English or maths at grade 3 or above.

Future opportunities

Students who achieve a Merit grade or above may choose to study towards a wide range of other level 3 programmes available at the College, including in Business, Information Technology and lots more.Many then progress into higher education before gaining employment with firms of all shapes and sizes.

    • Set in the Oakwood Park complex, MidKent College's Maidstone Campus provides a pleasant learning environment for students. The site houses a range of quality workshops – including those for Bricklaying, Carpentry, Motor Vehicle and Welding – as well as a large learning resource centre, refectory and welcoming social zone.

      In 2012 major redevelopment work costing a total of £25 million started at the Maidstone Campus, with new state-of-the-art facilities expected to be open by December 2013.

      As part of the rebuild MidKent College has purchased the University for the Creative Arts' Maidstone campus, which is also based at Oakwood Park and now houses the majority of the College's higher education courses.
