Course description

The level 2 Extended Certificate in Creative Media Production is a fantastic introduction to the media industry and an opportunity to learn some of the basic skills required.We have the very best facilities and equipment to help you take your first steps into employment, and you will also be able to focus your studies on a specific area of the profession.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or above including English or maths at grade 3 or above.

Future opportunities

Complete the course with at least a Merit and you will be able to continue your studies onto the level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production. There you will gain a further understanding of the industry and learn more technical skills to help you enter your chosen career.

    • Set in the Oakwood Park complex, MidKent College's Maidstone Campus provides a pleasant learning environment for students. The site houses a range of quality workshops – including those for Bricklaying, Carpentry, Motor Vehicle and Welding – as well as a large learning resource centre, refectory and welcoming social zone.

      In 2012 major redevelopment work costing a total of £25 million started at the Maidstone Campus, with new state-of-the-art facilities expected to be open by December 2013.

      As part of the rebuild MidKent College has purchased the University for the Creative Arts' Maidstone campus, which is also based at Oakwood Park and now houses the majority of the College's higher education courses.
