Psychology at The University of Birmingham School

Course description

It is the intention of the University of Birmingham School to offer Psychology A Level from 2018/19.

Recruitment for an experienced Subject Leader will begin soon, and following that, in early 2018, the School will make a decision about course content and exam boards.

The subject suits students who want to understand more about both themselves and other people, and fits well with a broad range of other A Levels, including English, Geography and Mathematics.

This page will be updated with new information as we develop the course.

Entry requirements

A minimum of five Grade Bs, or 6s, and a least a Grade C, or a 4, in both English Language and Mathematics at GCSE.

A minimum of a Grade B, or a 6, is required in the following subjects to study Psychology at A Level:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Both Core and Additional Science OR both Biology and Chemistry

    • We are located on the University of Birmingham's Selly Oak campus, on the corner of Weoley Park Road and the Bristol Road, in front of the Orchard Learning and Resource Centre. There is some visitor parking on site at the front of the School during the day. All visitors should report to the main reception to be signed in.
