Hayesfield is the only Sixth Form in Bath offering Fashion and Textiles. Students here have access to state of the art facilities and specialised teaching with dedicated technician support in a bespoke Sixth Form space.

Course content

Historical, social, cultural, environmental and economic influences on design and technology.

Enjoying opportunities to put their learning into practice by producing wonderful products of your choice.

You will use creativity and imagination to design and make prototypes that solve real and relevant problems, considering your own and others’ needs, wants and values.

Entry requirements

Grade 5 in GCSE Textiles. 

Assessment

The course is assessed across three areas:

Technical Principles

Designing and Making Principles

Specialist Knowledge

50% NEA (coursework)

50% Exam at the end of the course.
