Government and Politics A Level at Tiffin School

Course description

The A-Level Politics course will teach you about the core ideas, institutions and processes of the UK political system. It is split into three units, the of which is centred
on political parties, pressure groups and the media as well as looking at the workings of different electoral systems. The second unit is based on UK political institutions such as Parliament, the Executive and the Judiciary as well as looking at the UK’s uncodified constitution. The third and final unit follows a comparative study of the US and UK political systems. Each unit is assessed via an external examination and there is no coursework.
