Course content

The modules studied over the two year A Level are:

Module 1 – Development of practical skills in physics

Module 2 – Foundations of physics

Module 3 – Forces and motion

Module 4 – Electrons, waves and photons

Module 5 – Newtonian world and astrophysics

Module 6 – Particles and medical physics

Students will sit three examinations at the end of the course

Entry requirements

Grade 6 in GCSE Double Science o r Grade 6 in GCSE Physics, and Grade 6 in GCSE Maths.

Future opportunities

Physics is used in engineering of all types; in Medicine, Archaeology, Police Wo rk, Environmental Science, Aerospace etc. Many Physics graduates are employed in industry, business, management and finance.
