Course description

Awarding Body:AQA

It supports a wide variety of subjects and is highly valued by University Admissions.

Entry requirements

Grade 5 at GCSE Maths

There is no coursework - all assessment is by written examination at the end of the two year course.

Future opportunities

At University, there is a high drop-out rate within the Humanities subjects (e.g. Geography, Psychology) among students who struggle with the mathematical content.  A qualification in Maths beyond GCSE demonstrates to Universities and employers that you Maths skills are still stong and that you can handle the mathematical content of your course.
