Mathematics (GCSE) at Corelli College Co-Operative Academy

Course description

The GCSE Mathematics course will develop your knowledge of number, algebra, geometry and statistics. The course will offer you the opportunity to enhance what you have learned in previous study and begin to use these themes to problem solve. Furthermore, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of statistics and geometry.

GCSE Mathematics will give you transferable skills for the real world. Most notably logical skills, analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.

This course is assessed through examination only. You will sit 3 exams; two calculator and one non-calculator. All exams are externally assessed.

Future opportunities

Mathematics GCSE is well respected by employers and is a necessity to study many A level courses. The course will give you skills which can be directly transferable to real life and teach you how to use logic when problem solving.
