Extended Project Qualification Level 3 at Vandyke Upper School and Community College

Course description

This is a Level 3 Project Qualification that is designed to allow students to study an area of interest in more depth than would normally be expected at A Level. Students may choose to take the Extended Project Qualification as an extension from studies for other qualifications at Level 3, for example A Level or BTEC. Alternatively the Extended Project Qualification may explore an area of personal interest or activity outside the main programme of study.

Entry requirements

This course requires real commitment from students. You must be able to work independently and have a genuine interest in the topic that you choose to investigate. It is suitable for more able students who are likely to achieve mostly grades 9/8/ or 7 for their subjects at GCSE.

Assessment

Students will provide the following for assessment: a production log, a written report, The project artefact. They will also need to give a presentation.
