Hairdressing Level 3 at East Kent College

Course description

Perfect if you want to develop your skills and learn more specialised hair services in order to work as a Senior Stylist or self-employed Hairdresser.

Course content

You’ll learn advanced cutting and colouring techniques, as well as how to create hairstyles for special occasions. You will also learn the basics of salon management to help you in your future career.

You can look forward to working inthe College’s on-site salon on external clients.

This Study Programme will include English and maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.

Entry requirements

4 Cs or 4s and a relevant full level 2.

Assessment

You will learn through practical demonstrations, and assessment will be through written work and online tests.

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. Future opportunities

On successful completion you could gain employment within the hairdressing industry in salons, on cruise ships or you could become a self-employed hairdresser.
