Law A level at Bradford College

Course description

This course will give you an understanding of law in today’s society and raises awareness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals.

You will apply this knowledge to real life case studies to develop your own analytical ability, decision making and problem solving skills.

Course content

Core content:

  • The Nature of Law and the English Law System
  • Criminal Law
  • Tort.

Options:

  • Law of Contract
  • Human Rights.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at a minimum of Grade C/4 (including Mathematics) and English Language at a minimum of Grade C/5.

Assessment

This is a linear exam and all three exams will be taken at the end of the two-year course.

Paper 1 - two hour exam (33% of final grade)

Paper 2 - two hour exam (33% of final grade)

Paper 3 - two hour exam (33% of final grade).
