Supporting Teaching and Learning Levels 2 & 3 Apprenticeship at Bradford College

Course description

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training.

Teaching assistant apprentices provide support in the classroom and play a vital role by making sure students get the most out of their lessons. You will work with small groups or individuals under the close supervision of a class teacher allowing them to concentrate on teaching the class.

Course content

Typical tasks:

  • Supervising arts and crafts activities
  • Helping with outings
  • Reading to the class.

You will be required to study on a day release basis.

Entry requirements

Level 2:

GCSE Mathematics and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.

 

Level 3:

GCSE Mathematics and English at a minimum of Grade C/4 or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
