Agriculture BTEC Level 2 at Bishop Burton College

Course description

Bishop Burton College offers students the chance to learn and develop new skills on a modern farm with mixed livestock and crop enterprises. You will study the essential skills to start your career in agriculture, including crops and livestock production and machinery operation, and there is a strong focus on work experience both on the College farm and externally.

Course content

  • Environmental and land-based business
  • Land-based machinery operations
  • Introduction to farm animal production
  • Estate skills
  • Tractor driving
  • English and Maths, as required.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or 3, preferably including English and Maths, or a Level 1 qualification in a related subject. A satisfactory reference is also needed.
