Early Years Professional Status (Working with Children in Early Years and Primary Settings) Certificate Level 2 at Bradford College
The aim of this qualification is support you to progress onto a Level 3 qualification and provide subject knowledge for children between the age of 0-11 years.
This qualification is suitable for those from the age of 16 an above who have little or no experience in childcare.
This is a graded course which comprises six Units – including Development, Legislation, Physical Development and Physical Activity, Play and Learning, Nutrition and the role of The Early Years Professional plus observation in the practical work place environment.
GCSE English or mathematics at Grade C/4 and three GCSEs at a Grade D/3 Including one in either English or mathematics.
Assessment is by an externally marked exam.
Completion of this Level 2 course could lead to work as a full-time Level 2 practitioner – in early years settings or progression to a Level 3 Early Years Educator course, an apprenticeship or other level 3 qualifications relating to childcare or health and social care.
